Habitat for Humanity

This event is in partnership with the National Capital Region Habitat for Humanity, which mobilizes volunteers in building affordable houses as a means to end the cycle of poverty. Get ready to help build a family home! You’ll be provided with all the tools you’ll need for the day, including tools, steel-toed boots, hard hats and safety training! Lunch will be served on-site.

Événement en partenariat avec Habitat pour l’humanité de la région de la capitale nationale, qui mobilise des bénévoles pour construire des maisons abordables dans le but de mettre fin au cycle de pauvreté. Soyez prêts à contribuer à la construction d’une maison familiale. On vous fournira tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pour la journée : outils, bottes à embout d’acier et casques, notamment, ainsi qu’une formation en matière de sécurité. Le déjeuner sera servi sur place.

Golf

Get your foursomes together now, choose a Captain, and prepare to hit the links for your choice of nine or eighteen holes at the Meadows Golf and Country Club.

Nine-hole: tee-times between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. (approx.) will be assigned by lottery on May 29. Watch livewire details.

Eighteen-hole: Registration is on a first-come first-served basis for the maximum of 144 spots (36 teams) available. The shotgun start is 8 a.m.

Play: All golf will be four-player “best ball” (you use the best ball for every shot).

Golf

Rassemblez votre quatuor, nommez un capitaine et préparez-vous à sillonner, au choix, un parcours de 9 ou de 18 trous au Meadows Golf and Country Club.

Parcours de 9 trous : Les heures des départs (entre 7 h et 13 h environ) seront tirées au hasard le 29 mai. Pour en savoir plus, consultez Le fil conducteur.

Parcours de 18 trous : L’inscription se fera selon la règle du premier arrivé premier servi, jusqu’à concurrence de 144 participants (36 équipes). Les départs seront simultanés, à 8 h.

Règle du jeu : Les parties se joueront selon la formule de la meilleure balle de l’équipe (pour chaque coup, l’équipe utilise la meilleure de ses quatre balles).

Amazing Race

In case you were worried, the Amazing Race is back again this year (we know, we’re excited too!). Participants will meet at EDC at 8:30 a.m. to get instructions, materials and to get things started. The race will begin at 9 a.m. SHARP! Buses will be available at EDC to bring those who have worked up an appetite to The Meadows for lunch. Space is limited, so register early to guarantee your spot! When signing up keep these things in mind: We have openings for a maximum of 20 teams, each team will be composed of four people and we will require your team’s name. Due to Eventbrite constrictions, registration must be completed as a team of four, not individually. Please ensure you have water, snacks and are dressed appropriately for the day. Keep in mind that this is a race, comfortable footwear is recommended and while costumes are not mandatory, they are certainly encouraged! A week before the event, participants can expect to receive an email setting out additional information. See you on June 5th!

La course folle d’EDC

Ne vous inquiétez pas, la Course folle est de retour cette année (on en est bien heureux nous aussi!). Les participants se donnent rendez-vous à EDC à 8h30 pour recevoir les instructions et objets nécessaires, pour être prêts pour un départ à 9h00 précise. Un autobus nous attendra à 12h30 pour ceux qui désireront joindre leurs collègues au Meadows pour le dîner. Inscrivez-vous le plus tôt possible car il y a un nombre limité de places. Seulement 20 équipes peuvent être créées, et chacune d’elle ne peut avoir que 4 participants et choisira un nom pour son équipe. En raison du système Eventbrite, l'inscription doit se faire pour une équipe de 4 et non pas individuellement. N’oubliez pas d'apporter une bouteille d'eau et des collations et de vous habiller vous en fonction de la météo. Ceci est une course, donc chaussez-vous confortablement. Bien que les costumes ne soient pas obligatoires, nous vous encourageons à être créatifs et à l’aise! Un courriel avec plus d'information sera envoyé aux participants.
